QCA will be hosting a Farewell Celebration Event on Saturday 23 May 2020 at the Sofitel Brisbane. An invitation/survey was sent out in December 2019 to members and former committee members to celebrate the association’s history as we prepare to transition to becoming the state branch of PACFA. We would like to thank the 55 members who have responded to the survey. The majority voted that they would prefer a half-day morning event with a small fee of $50 (QCA will be subsidising the celebration and PD).
The event will include the following:
- Two x one-hour professional development workshops
- A commemorative book on QCA’s history
- Morning tea and lunch
The intention of this event is to recognise those who have contributed to QCA over its 45 years plus history and enjoy the supportive environment that the association has provided to its members as they pursue their counselling careers. To capture QCA stories and memories, the management committee has commissioned a historian, Peter Ludlow, to research and write about the QCA history.
We will be sending out a formal invitation to members who have responded to our survey. If you still like to attend the QCA Farewell Celebration but have not RSVP’d, please contact QCA.
