Working with your Clients’ Dreams: a practical approach

March 2 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Presenter: Anne Di Lauro

No-one can doubt that the part of our minds of which we are conscious is only a small part of what is going on in the psyche.  In our work with clients, we cannot ignore this fact.  Working with dreams provides a direct path to what is unconsciously influencing the issues that our clients bring to us.  Dreams can also point the way to healing.  This talk will be a practical guide to working with your clients’ dreams.  We shall look at C.G. Jung’s theory of the structure of the psyche as a lens through which to look at dreams, and demonstrate the practical application of this approach with case studies.  Participants will receive a list of useful questions to help in the exploration of their clients’ dreams.

Presenter: Anne Di Lauro is a psychotherapist in private practice in Brisbane working from a Jungian perspective.  She has a Master of Counselling from QUT and is a clinical member of QCA and PACFA.  She has had extensive learning and experience in the field of Jungian psychotherapy both in Australia and overseas.  She is a former president of the C.G. Jung Society of Queensland.  Her interest in working with dreams was heightened twenty years ago when she first encountered Jungian analyst Robert Bosnak and his Embodied Imagination method of dream work.  She subsequently undertook formal study with him and is a Certified Embodied Dream Imagery Psychotherapist.
