Presenter: Paul McQuillan
Logotherapy, like life, is paradoxical. The work of Viktor Frankl is both well known in general but little known in detail.
Man’s Search for Meaning has been read by millions (5 million copies in English and translations into 24 languages) yet few have engaged with the key foundations of Frankl‘s work, his concept of the human being and the philosophy of life that provide the foundation for his logotherapy. The concepts are explained in more detail in less popular works: The Doctor and the Soul, On the Theory and Therapy of Mental Disorders and The Will to Meaning.
This presentation will aim to connect Frankl’s founding principles for psychotherapy with the numerous approaches that have adopted some of his insights and made them their own.
