Presenter: Susan De Campo
I have been a counsellor for over 25 years, a Registered Nurse for 39 years and a mum for 37 years. Lots of healing, helping, supporting and giving.
This professional development presentation will offer some reflections on what sustains functional longevity in the healing professions. I am absolutely clear that it goes beyond ensuring you access professional supervision and enjoy regular walks! This view is well supported in the research literature. I will share (as if I could help myself), what has sustained me and, if I had my time over, what I might have done differently.
If you’ve never been to a QCA AGM, I encourage you to come along and at the very least enjoy a PD that will give you a few laughs and, hopefully, a bit of food for thought.
Presenter: Susan De Campo is a Fellow of QCA. With over 25 years’ experience in private practice specialising in trauma, loss and grief, young people and relationship therapy and over 40 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, Susan has a strong appreciation of the complexities associated with myriad personal and interpersonal challenges. Her most recent focus has been in the area of reunification following child abduction or parental alienation. She teaches counselling related courses at both QUT and USQ and delivers training and workshops both locally and nationally.
