Presenter: John Barletta
Emotions influence our decisions, behaviour, and performance in productive and unproductive ways. Our capacity to understand emotions, to be aware of them, how they impact the way we behave and relate to others, improves our interpersonal and social skills, and helps us to be more satisfied and successful. Counsellors will leave the session with ways for improving their self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and capacity to positively influence the way others feel and behave. Additionally, enhancing the emotional intelligence of clients in structured, deliberate, and research-informed ways will also be explored in some detail.
